Laboratory Ventilation

Laboratory ventilation is the primary method used to prevent exposure to hazardous substances in laboratories and other work spaces. Depending on the specific needs of the work space, a fume hood, fume extractor, and/or laminar flow hood may be utilized.  At William & Mary all lab ventilation is inspected/certified on an annual basis. All documentation affiliated with annual inspections of lab ventilation is maintained by the EH&S Office.
